Next Saturday is Handmade Neighborhood, the artisan market I’m participating in, and my shop is full of all manner parts about to be assembled and items to be finished.
Boards that need to be sanded.
Bowls that need to be sanded.
Cut outs that I really feel I should do something with but that will probably just make pretty kindling.
The inside of our house is also piling up with items that have been finished and are either dry or drying.
Such as these coat racks.
These coasters, meanwhile, still need a coat of finish.
These cutting boards are drying after their first coat of walnut oil. I’ll put a beeswax/walnut oil finish on later this evening.
Here are a few photos from one project—making a little bowl holder on a chestnut tray.
These photos are in backwards order. But I think you get the idea!
This is the first post I’ve done from my phone. Fingers crossed that photos in the wrong order is the only thing wrong with this week’s newsletter 😬
If you’re in the area, I hope you’re able to stop by the market!
Wow, I love the bowl holder on the chestnut board! It makes me want to sit by a fire and have snacks! :) You are doing excellent work, love watching your progress!
Beautiful work!
